Testimonials from 2026/2025

I spent the entire first hour visit essentially non-stop blabbing about the terrible experience we’ve had trying to get care for our son. He has a complex presentation of post-viral (long COVID) symptoms, and we’ve had numerous evaluations by primary care and specialty care providers. We’ve had lots of tests, but they’ve all come back relatively normal. As a result, the previous providers have said they don’t know how to help, aren’t comfortable with medication suggestions I’ve brought to them, and are suspicious that this is a ‘functional neurological disorder.’ The only treatment plan they’ve suggested so far is mental and physical therapy.

There was one exception to this - a doctor who works mostly at the NIMH but sees a small number of patients clinically for second opinions. This physician had an appropriate differential diagnosis and recommended a long workup to evaluate further. However, I had to beg, plead, and wiggle my way around multiple providers who either hard-stopped refused to place the orders the NIMH doctor recommended or were very reluctant to do so.

Finally, through my repeated efforts and before finding Dr. Iller, we got a lymphocyte enumeration panel and a pneumococcal response that showed poor response to 19 out of 22 serovars tested. This should have led to an urgent response by the allopathic care team and to putting the story of his presentation together as a post-viral encephalopathic disorder with concern for an underlying immune suppression. But no, it led to more specialty referrals (and 6 weeks later, I’m still waiting for those to be reviewed by the local children’s hospital).

Meanwhile, my son has been incredibly ill - bed-bound for 6 months and suffering uncharacteristic and severe neuropsychiatric symptoms. It’s been beyond frustrating to go through the allopathic process. But I’m an allopathic physician, and so I continued to work through the pathway of PCP -> specialist loop, which is the conventional process. I got nowhere.  In fact, these individuals were overwhelmed by the presentation, overly concerned about their reputation (one of them even told me that they were concerned ordering IVIG might damage their reputation with their peers), and overly cautious to provide a comprehensive treatment plan. In their minds, they heavily rely on evidence-based medicine, which is excellent for population-based medical decision-making or when a patient fits into a well-established and extensively studied pattern. However, this situation doesn’t align with that.

Anyway, I spent an hour venting my frustrations, and Dr. Iller listened calmly. This alone was incredibly comforting. I can’t emphasize enough how crucial that was. She assured me, “I’m on P’s side. I’m going to help.” That relief was immense. Then she pointed out that despite all the tests, no treatment plan had been developed. It dawned on me how astonishing that was. The only treatment plan outside of prescribing multiple psychiatric medications (which have been helpful) was recommending mental and physical therapy. That realization shocked me.

I recounted how we had been requesting IVIG for months, but multiple doctors had declined. One even mentioned that they were unsure about the ICD code to assign, of all things, rather than whether it could potentially be helpful to P.  Dr. Iller responded, “Well, why not XYZ diagnosis?” She then admitted honestly that she didn’t recognize this as typical Long Covid (which was fair). She then reviewed all the labs P had undergone and highlighted several abnormal ones that hadn’t been followed up on, as well as additional labs that should have been included in a thorough primary evaluation. She also suggested additional tests to send and shared her naturopathic and functional medicine perspective on what might be happening with P and how we will sort that out and then start treating.  Her view is that we will likely find many places where P needs treatment, and by making many adjustments both small and large, we will slowly get him better.

At this point, I was at rock bottom, fully disillusioned with the conventional approach to care we had been following and ready for anything. However, Dr. Iller doesn’t simply throw everything at us. She is reasonable, curious, and follows a systematic approach.  She’s much more open to trying medical interventions if she finds a reasonable indication and a favorable risk-benefit ratio compared to the numerous providers we’ve encountered. She’s also more informed about the latest, cutting-edge research on Long Covid and PAIS than any of the allopathic providers we’ve seen.

Oh, and her fees are reasonable. I can’t stress this enough; people in this area, and across the US, are charging thousands of dollars just for an introductory visit. One provider in NYC even charges $40,000 for a weekend of in-person evaluation and testing. If we could afford that, we still wouldn’t be able to physically bring our son in for care. There’s a complete shortage of qualified and competent pediatric providers specializing in Long Covid. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. Iller. However, I’m also angry that as parents, we have to fight so hard against so many entrenched and powerful forces to get our kids the care they need! So, I give Dr. Iller a solid 5-star rating!

We are currently awaiting the results of extensive testing Dr. Iller has ordered including a GI panel, a full cytokine panel, and interferon signature tests. Also basic labs that needed to be repeated due to prior abnormalities, such as Vitamin D deficiency. Additionally, basic labs that had never been tested despite eight months of illness and intensive involvement with primary and specialty care providers. And mold testing, which is appropriate given our active and ongoing visible mold issue in our home. Finally, we have additional tests that are part of her functional medicine approach.

I am still pursuing specialty consults because they can perform procedures that Dr. Iller cannot, such as a lumbar puncture, MRI, and EEG. However, I bring the plan and the results from these specialists back to Dr. Iller, and we feel that her approach is truly complementary in addressing our son’s care.

We anticipate starting IVIG after the lab results are back. Based on my own in-depth research of allopathic medical literature and reliable medical AI assistance, there is strong evidence supporting the use of IVIG in our son’s case, and there are concerns about long-term disability if we delay treatment.  Thank God for Dr. Iller seeing this from the start and being open and supportive of this.

In the meantime, we are still waiting for allopathic doctors to take action and provide care for our son. But we don’t have time to wait!

I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Iller for her help in this matter. Until now, my husband and I have felt like we had to learn to fly, build a plane, fly through thunderstorms, and care for the ill passenger we were transporting, all on our own. Now, we feel like we have at least a co-pilot and ground control helping us navigate and care for our son.

Dr. Iller has been treating me for chronic illness the past 5 years. In each and every appointment, she takes her time to listen to my health history and never rushes me. How she replies to me during our appointments and through her treatment plans, proves that she is an excellent listener and doctor. My health levels up with each visit with concrete and safe strategies - so much that I’m returning to who I was before my chronic illnesses. Recently, a health condition was reversed that I didn’t know was possible! I highly recommend her to anyone who has been stalled in their health journey or needs an innovative take on complex illness, including my family and friends.

Dr. Iller truly listens and takes the time to understand my concerns rather than rushing through appointments. She is a thoughtful, critical thinker who stays current with the latest research and medical literature, and it shows in the quality of her care and recommendations. Every time I meet with her, I leave feeling supported, informed, and empowered to make decisions about my health. Beyond her expertise, she's also personable, approachable, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with.

Dr. Iller has been my doctor for a few years, and she is one of the best physicians I've ever had. Her functional medicine approach allows her to look at the whole picture rather than just treating individual symptoms, and she developed a treatment plan for me that has made significant improvements in my quality of life.

She is kind, Knowledgable, and treats mer as a partner in my own healthcare. I completely trust her recommendations because she's thorough, thoughtful, and always willing to research anything that requires a deeper look.  I highly recommend Dr. Iller to anyone looking for a compassionate and exceptionally skilled physician.

Add an answer tIʼve had a fantastic experience with Dr. Kimberly Ilher. She has an amazing bedside manner—very easy to talk to, almost like chatting with a friend. Appointments are easy to get, usually within a week, and sheʼs always prompt in starting on time. What really sets her apart is her creativity and willingness to think outside the box. I truly appreciate her care and innovative approach.

She is Amazing! She actually listened for over 40 minutes at my first visit, ran tests no one thought to order and connected symptoms I didn't realize were related.  We found some things that were missed during my appointment with other doctors.

Her Protocol is individual and combines functional medicine with conventional medicine when needed. Brain fog is 80% better, joint pain is down and I have my life back.  If you've been gaslit by the medical system with chronic illness give Dr. Iller a try.

I have a long-term chronic illness. I've had several good naturopaths over the years, who helped me deal effectively with one important element of my health at a time. Dr. Iller is the first doctor I've ever had who was able to provide an overall perspective and a plan for how to improve it. Now she is walking me through that plan step by step, month by month. And I am getting better.

Dr. Iller is easy to talk to (even when I was feeling so bad that even conversation was difficult). She is full of knowledge and experience about treating chronic illness. I am glad I found her.

Reviews Prior to 2025

"I first connected with Dr. Iller about my health after a year-long, post-COVID struggle to not only feel normal, but also stop being susceptible to every little infection brought home by my wife and kids. After decades of feeling bulletproof, COVID hit me like a ton of bricks and was followed by stomach bugs, flus, strong colds and other maladies that hadn't penetrated my body's defenses since I was a young child.

Following a second, rather brutal bout of COVID in July of 2023 that seemed to be lingering for weeks, I reached out to Dr. Iller, who carefully explained the inflammatory response my body was going through and suggested that I try a carefully curated regiment of supplements, vitamins and other healing strategies to get my body back up to speed.

And, man, did it work!

I now feel like my old, powerful self again and have appreciated Dr. Iller's regular check-ins via phone and text. For anyone dealing with long COVID or, frankly, anyone who just wants to get back to feeling strong, I highly recommend you give Dr. Iller a call and listen to what she has to say. I'm extremely glad I did."

"I've had Lyme disease and co-infections for more than 22 years.  I've managed the illness for most of that time with diet and exercise, but a few years ago it became obvious I was losing the battle.  I needed a doctor with the specialized skills and knowledge to work with the complex set of conditions I am experiencing.

I've been working with Dr. Iller for a year and a half.  During that time, not only have I seen definite improvement in my overall health and energy level, including a number of key symptoms (heart palpitations, peripheral neuropathy, joint problems, headaches, and muscle weakness), but in all honestly, this is the best relationship I have ever had with a doctor.

It feels like a partnership. She listens whether I am reporting symptoms, asking questions, or bringing up treatment possibilities I have heard about elsewhere.  She responds directly, with the expertise I expect from a doctor.  If she can't give me a complete answer in the moment, she does the research and gets back to me.  She monitors my progress and adjusts treatment protocols according to how I am doing, as well as my personal lifestyle considerations.

Dr. Iller uses a range of available treatments, including supplements, herbal extracts, IV nutritional therapy (which is a specialty of hers) and prescription medications. She is a young doctor, but her sharp mind, depth of knowledge, enthusiasm and openness to new ideas instills in me a confidence I must have to put trust in any doctor."

I have been a patient of Dr. Kimberly Iller, ND, since 2013, and working with her truly changed my life.

When I first found her practice, I was struggling with debilitating fatigue, anxiety, and widespread pain. I tried numerous therapies and was still searching for answers. I had heard promising stories about functional medicine and hoped it might offer a new path forward-but I never expected the level of care and transformation I would experience.

Dr. Iller never focused solely on my illnesses; she focused on me as a whole person. Her exceptional ability to evaluate the individual-not just a diagnosis- made all the difference. She looked at every aspect of my health and lifestyle to understand the root causes of what I was experiencing.

After years of searching, I finally received the treatment I truly needed. Because of her personalized approach, I am now living a pain-free, healthy, and productive life. I am incredibly grateful for her expertise. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Iller to anyone seeking thoughtful individualized care and real, lasting results.
